The russefeiring in English means russ celebration is a traditional celebration for Norwegian high school students in their final spring semester. Students that take part in the celebrations are known as russ. The russefeiring traditionally starts on around 20 April and ends on 17 May, the Norwegian Constitution day. Participants wear colored overalls, they make groups and name a bus, car or van and celebrate almost continually during this period. Students who buy a bus, are partying in this bus the entire night.
For me as a Chinese girl who grew up in Shanghai which is one of the most modern international city of China, all I did in high school was just to study like the previous post I wrote. It was quite boring, life should be more colorful and any youth deserve to try different things and be as crazy as they want to be. It shouldn’t say those years are the best years of your life, but one thing I want say is that anyone who is studying in high school now, be yourself, do anything you want to try even it sounds stupid or weird. Time goes very fast, I wish you will feel happy and no regrets to think back your high school life many years later.
Life is wonderful when you are crazy sometimes.
