Last weekend I been to Zhujiajiao ancienttown, I wrote that in old post, it was like one hour driving from central Shanghai. It still belongs to Shanghai, but when I getting closer, it feels not like Shanghai, very different. All of the houses located by the river, some for regular living, a lot are small stores selling local snack, handicraft stuff, Chinese style clothes. And if you like drinking, here you can find a lot nice bars which you can sit by the river listen to the live music.
And I had dinner in one very special restaurant, big talk wood door, several traditional Chinese dinner tables and benchs. All of the food from menu are from local, so you can eat what you can’t find in central Shanghai most likely.
If you want go there now in got summer, I recommend you go there in the evening or wait to the autumn, I think I will go visit again in cooler autumn.
