Today I took some photos of my current project for myself “56 ethnic groups of China”. I haven’t finished yet, but I want share with you what I have done so far.
According to Chinese government statistics formal investigation identified a total of 56 National People’s Republic of China.
Han population the largest proportion, accounting for about 91.51% of the total population, the total population of the other 55 ethnic groups less than normal, accounting for about 8.49% of the total population, so called ethnic minorities.
China’s ethnic distribution is: big mixed, small communities, living intertwined.
I draw 56 nation to let people see these illustrations can feel the broad and profound Chinese civilization, but also to protect these civilizations and traditions, to contribute my efforts to let more people get interested in the culture of China. And I choose cats this animal forms to show the 56 ethnic groups, one reason is that I love cats and I drew a lot of cats already in my illustration works, another reason is regardless of adults or children, I want them to understand China’s 56 ethnic in easy and funny way.
Each nation has its own uniqueness, housing construction, costumes, customs are different, so each nation I have painted their unique houses, costumes and some unique customs of the people.
Tell me how you think of my this project? Are you interested? I had been doing this project for a long time, and of course when it’s completely done, I will show it to all of you.
