There’s one saying that “up there is heaven, under there is suhang” (Suzhou Hangzhou). Suzhou is famous for its South Classical Gardens. It gives Suzhou a unique flavor. Imagine you can hold a paper umbrella walking in the stone streets of Suzhou, listening to Suzhou Pingtan. How romantic thing it is!
Where to visit: Zhouzhuang, Lingering Garden, Hanshan Temple, Lion Grove Garden, Tiger Hill, Canglang, Guanqian Street, Tin Ping Shan and so on.
What to eat: honey tofu, squirrel mandarin fish, pine nuts sugar ,shrimp sauce, Suzhou cookie, fresh watermelon chicken and other dishes.
How to get there: you can take bus directly to Suzhou in Shanghai airports or central Shanghai tourist centre. But the most convenient way to Suzhou is to take the train.
