Bottega Veneta is often called Italian Hermes. In 1966 the founders Michele Taddei and Renzo Zengiaro set up the workshop in Vicenza Italy and gave the workshop name “Bottega Veneta”, means Veneta workshop.
Bottega Veneta have leather products, men and women clothing , jewelry , watches, furniture , home accessories, perfumes and glasses. But the most famous products about Bottega Veneta is women’s bags and men’s shoes.
About Bottega Veneta women’s bag, then have to introduce Cabat and Veneta, the two most well known bags. Why Bottega Veneta bag so famous? It os because of the leather knitting. The criss-cross leather is simply time-consuming work of craft pointer.
For example like Cabat, the production process is firstly put two pieces of bonded leather together , then cut into strips. It’s said that weaving one bag takes two or three craftworkers for at least three or four days.
Veneta is not simple either. First use a fixed interval machine to hit a hole on one piece of glossy leather. Then take another piece of leather and cut into strips. After that, the craftworker one by one to put the leather strips allocated to each hole.
